We are one ist ein Projekt des Fotografen Manfred Jasmund.

Unter dem Gedanken - alle Menschen sind gleich - entsteht eine Bilderserie, die keinen Unterschied macht woher ein Mensch kommt, was er glaubt, wen er oder sie liebt, ob jung, alt oder mit Behinderung.

We are one - alle Menschen sind gleich.

Alle Fotos entstehen unter den selben Voraussetzungen. Bewusst auf Schwarzweiss reduziert, die volle Konzentration auf das Gesicht und die Augen.

Auch wenn alle Fotos im gleichen Stil gehalten werden, die Geschichten hinter den Bildern sind spannend und vollkommen unterschiedlich. Geschichten die berühren, Geschichten die Mut machen.

Und das ist der zweite Aspekt dieses Projektes - es soll Mut machen.

Nach einer schweren Erkrankung musste Manfred Jasmund seinen alten Beruf aufgeben und noch einmal neu beginnen. Heute arbeitet er erfolgreich als Fotograf und möchte motivieren nicht aufzugeben sondern an sich zu glauben. Ein Neuanfang ist jederzeit möglich.

We are one is a project by the photographer Manfred Jasmund.

With the idea - all people are the same - a series of pictures is created that makes no difference where a person comes from, what he believes, who he or she loves, whether young, old or with a disability.

We are one - all people are the same.

All photos are created under the same conditions. Consciously to black and white, full concentration on the face and the eyes.

Even if all photos are kept in the same style, the stories behind the pictures are exiting and completely different. Stories that touch, stories that encourage.

And that´s the second aspect of this project - it´s supposed to be encouraging. After a serious illness, Manfred Jasmund had to give up his job and start all over again. Today he works successfully as a photographer and wants to motivate not to give up and to believe in yourself. A new beginning is possible at any time.
